EXISTING APPLICATION SCREENSHOTS AND FLOW
NEW DESIGNS
IMPROVE ACTIVATION CODE / REGISTRATION PROCESS
Discovery: The current registration and sign in process of Army mCare feels outdated and clunky and needs improvement. The number of steps required can be reduced and the overall look and feel can be improved to create better usability and user experience.
Strategy: ReDesign the Army mCare activation process and sign in process. Create a new registration and sign in workflow that feels more like modern iOS and Android apps. Research the verification steps required for Apple iOS development. ReDesign the Sign In page entirely to match the new look and feel.
BETTER WAY TO VISUALIZE SURVEYS
Discovery: The existing PHA surveys can take a user up to 45 minutes to complete. Therefore, streamlining the user experience on the Army mCare mobile application is very important to gain user adoption and keep them engaged. The current workflow can feel overwhelming to users due to its length and stagnant flow. Due to the long form the users can easily lose their place and it may be difficult to track what has/has not been answered.
Strategy: ReDesign the surveys within Army mCare to have better ease of use and better visual indication for a user to know how far along they are in the process (Progress bars, interstitial screens / break points, possibly inspirational messaging… etc.) Easier navigation between sections. Improve workflow and usability. Possibly pre-populate specific fields (ie: personal info… etc.)
MORE IMPACTFUL COLOR SCHEME OVERALL
Discovery: The existing color scheme of Army mCare mobile application needs a modern refresh to improve usability and user engagement. The current colors, buttons, icons and notification badges are a little mismatched. It is difficult for users to identify the visual elements.
Strategy: ReDesign the Army mCare look and feel. Create a modern holistic user interface design leveraging the new branding of the Army mCare logos. Create all new user interface components (navigation, buttons, form fields, menus... etc.). Capture the new design elements into a style guide.
